There’s been a couple of crises that erupted behind the scenes in the past few days, and so writing this post got pushed back so I could concentrate on getting a handle on things before they got out of control.
All of us, sooner or later, face serious troubles and tribulations. All of us have times when the problems come on so thick and fast that it feels like we’re trapped in a rowboat during a raging sea storm.
I’ve learned through trial and error that it can relieve stress to walk outside for fifteen minutes, and just go on a short walk, or go wander through a garden.
This time of year, I like to go out into the garden and stand among the roses.
But it’s amazing how much peace can be found by just standing by some roses for fifteen minutes.
There is peace to be found by a rose bush … a cherry tree … a winding path through the pine trees … or a prickly pear cactus in the desert. It’s there, waiting, if one goes in search of it.
Until next time, Lynn
